Chocolate stout
#1
Hey guys,
New to the forum, just received my set-ups, and ready to get busy!
Now, I *am* going to start off easy and get the hang of things before I start to get too creative, lol, but to get a head start:

I am a BIG fan of Young's Double Chocolate stout...Is there any suggestions out there as to how to recreate the choco-goodness of this stout?

Thanks in advance, can't wait to get started! Big Grin

Be Well,
BaronRocco

my guess it will need coca power added after fermentation. pretty complicated recipe. i would suggest starting with a basic brew and go form there.

just my opinion

Buy a chocolate-roasted barley from a homebrew store, and put the grains in a zippered baggie. Then slightly crush them with a rolling pin. Then you're ready to put the grains in a mesh bag and steep them in your boiling wort.
